MOT Matters

Did you know that you can now download a report from the MTS to identify which MOT Testers have not yet updated their MOT Annual Training record?

MOT Testers are required to record, in their own words, what they have learned from their annual training each year. This information must be entered on their MTS profile. Failure to do so will initially result in a Level 1 sanction, which may be escalated if the tester repeatedly fails to keep their training record up to date.

As an AED or AEDM, you can use the MTS report to quickly see which testers are compliant and which are not, allowing you to act before it is too late.

Testers will not be able to backfill training records for previous years, therefore it is important that training is completed and recorded each year before the end of March.

MOT Compliance

The report is accessible to us in our role as your AEC (Authorised Examiner Consultant). As part of The MOT Club’s service, we will download and review this data on your behalf.

We will monitor the information and can issue reminder emails to testers where required, as well as notify Site Managers and Aftersales Managers of any testers who have not yet updated their profiles.

At The MOT Club, we are continually looking for ways to support you in managing MOT compliance and reducing administrative burden, so you can focus on running your business.
